Despite his tender age the talented young man has already accomplished things mere mortal like us could only dream of – like starring in a music video! Patrick starred in a music video which is set to be released later this month.Last week he was crowned the All-Ireland U12 popping champion and yesterday he auditioned for a part in one of Ireland’s most loved Christmas shows.Patrick AKA ‘Paddy Popper’ is a dancer at the Elite Dance Academy in Buncrana.His tutor and mentor Clare McCarron has paid tribute to her little star, “We at Elite Dance Academy are so proud that Patrick Gill secured himself an audition for The Late Late Toy Show! “Yesterday, Patrick along with his parents Janette and Denver Gill traveled to Co Sligo for the regional auditions.“Patrick was welcomed by Ryan Tubridy and the RTE film crew on arrival and he said he had an the most amazing experience.“His audition was a fun remix of an old nursery rhyme which Patrick chose himself – when it comes to his routines Patrick knows exactly what he wants and what he is good at, he trains non stop, the movement and musicality he has is unreal!Patrick landed a TV role in his own dance video as alluded to above – on the show Pop Up Popstar.The show will be screened on RTE on October 23rd. Clare added, “It’s every child’s dream to audition for the Toyshow and yesterday our man had that amazing opportunity.“It would be amazing if he was selected to appear on the show in December.“Either way this young man has an amazing future ahead of him, and words can’t describe how proud we all are of him.Patrick wasn’t the sole representative for Donegal yesterday, in a fact over THIRTY children from the fantastic Blue Ribbon Arts group also attended the auditions.
