The ICC objected and fans in India were left fuming after a statement from the world governing body.MS Dhoni’s former coach Chanchal Bhattacharya said Dhoni was only trying to honour the Army and the situation has been blown out of proportion.”See it is not about violation of rules. You would know that Dhoni has honorary lieutenant colonel’s rank in the Army. He hasn’t done anything intentionally if somebody thinks so. he has done it out of his feelings for the country and the army and people should respect his feelings,” Chanchal Bhattacharya told India Today.”If there is something about ICC not permitting then I don’t think it is a very big issue and Dhoni can remove the logo.””It is a small thing which is being made into a big issue, he never thought of anything like that, he just wanted to honor the army, his feelings and passion should be respected.”Meanwhile, former India football captain Baichung Bhutia said it was a wonderful gesture by MS Dhoni but ICC rules needed to be respected.advertisementAlso Read | MS Dhoni’s Army Insignia gesture wonderful but ICC rule has to be respected, says Baichung BhutiaAlso Read | Also Seelast_img
